Unfortunately we have lost our little Scarlet Talula. She died two weeks ago suddenly and took my heart wih her. I miss her terribly.

Meet Charlie!

Introducing Charlie! He is our new addition. He is a ten month old Great Dane/ Black Lab cross! He is 70 lbs so far and his feet are HUGE! We think he will be a big boy! We were lost without Cyrus and needed to have a pup in our life. We got him from a "High kill" rescue. He was found as a stray in Ohio and brought to Ontario by a rescue that saves animals from high kill shelters. He was saved in the nick of time.

Sadly we had to have our beloved poochie Cyrus put down the week of Thanksgiving. He was home in Pennsylvania and had decided it was time to leave us. We miss him terribly, things are not the same...

So as you can see I've lost a bit of weight, some where in the area of 55 lbs. The weird thing is I haven't been trying. I'm glad but at the same time a bit worried. (Obviously, not enough to do anything about it!) My clothes are hanging off me and my pants have dropped two sizes. Might have something to do with missing meals and drinking caffine all day... Oh well. Just thought I'd update everyone! Those of you in Pa. I'll see you in July!

Well, I thought I might update everyone on how Melissa and I are doing. I am still working for Home Depot in Loss Prevention. I enjoy it. I'm learning a lot about shoplifters and fraud and stuff. Doing some investigations. I was offered my own store, and I thought long and hard about it. I mean it's a great opportunity, but also a lot of responsibility. I weighed the pros and cons and have decided to stay at my store. I just feel like it's the right thing to do for now. Melissa is back at her old job. The new one sucked ass so she went back to the old one. Not without first getting the raise she wanted! They were desperate to have her back so I think they would have agreed to anything!! So now we're just working and trying to pay down our bills. We will be staying here for Christmas. Neither of us has vacation time. I'm bummed because I don't know when I'll get home. Probably not until July for Grandma's 90th birthday. It'll be over a year since I've been home by then. SIGH. Oh well I guess I'll just have to deal with it. It helps that we have a phone plan that you pay 20.00 a month and you can call all of North America unlimited, anytime. So I talk to Mom and Grandma and everyone a lot. It helps. I just celebrated one year here last Sunday. It's bittersweet. I'm so happy I'm with Melissa, but miss home too. But I've never regretted moving. Just seeing Melissa everyday is amazing.

Well, we're finally on our way. Melissa and I both have new jobs! I started about a month ago, training, now I'm off to "my" store (Home Depot) to start putting crooks away! Melissa just had her last day today and starts monday at her new place. We're both makin more money than we've EVER made and hopefully we can pay down our debts quickly and get on with our lives. The only downfall is we won't have vacation time for a year, more for Melissa she's a temp for three months then goes permenantafter that so it'll be March of 08 til she gets hers. So who knows when we'll get home. Oh well we'll see. At least we have a start!

Well, on goes the job search. So depressed right now. I can't seem to find a job. If I don't find something soon, I'm going to go to the racetrack and get a job with the horses. Doesn't pay well and no benefits, but better than I'm making now. Which is nothing! I would love to be around the horses again! If something came along later then cool... But for the time being... I miss being around horses too. Watched "Dreamer" the other night, got the itch going again. Once a horseman always a horseman!

Meet my new friend Alexandra aka Ally aka Ally Cat!!! She is a Western sub species Great Horned owl! She was very gentle and so sweet. She made the cutest noise when she was being moved from hand to hand. I was able to hold her and get our pictures taken through the Peregrine-foundation of Canada. She is captive bred and human imprintd. She basically doesn't know she's an owl. She's very sweet. I feel blessed to have been able to meet and hold her. Mitakayuse Oyasin- All my relations. Nicole had the baby!! His name is Eric and he is 7lbs 2oz. 21 inches long with lots of hair!! I'm sooo psyched! She had him on Monday at 6:30 pm. The day before her birthday! I can't wait to see him!! I hope she sends pics soon!

Well, I finally got a new job. I start March 1st. I'll be screen printing again. Needed a break from geriatrics. Plus I haven't heard from any facilities anyway. Got to talk to my kiddies last night. Tyler and Jocelyn talked my ear off, Jordan is a bit quieter. But she was glad to hear from me!! I miss them so much. I miss everyone so much. I miss home.
