Update

Well, I thought I might update everyone on how Melissa and I are doing. I am still working for Home Depot in Loss Prevention. I enjoy it. I'm learning a lot about shoplifters and fraud and stuff. Doing some investigations. I was offered my own store, and I thought long and hard about it. I mean it's a great opportunity, but also a lot of responsibility. I weighed the pros and cons and have decided to stay at my store. I just feel like it's the right thing to do for now. Melissa is back at her old job. The new one sucked ass so she went back to the old one. Not without first getting the raise she wanted! They were desperate to have her back so I think they would have agreed to anything!! So now we're just working and trying to pay down our bills. We will be staying here for Christmas. Neither of us has vacation time. I'm bummed because I don't know when I'll get home. Probably not until July for Grandma's 90th birthday. It'll be over a year since I've been home by then. SIGH. Oh well I guess I'll just have to deal with it. It helps that we have a phone plan that you pay 20.00 a month and you can call all of North America unlimited, anytime. So I talk to Mom and Grandma and everyone a lot. It helps. I just celebrated one year here last Sunday. It's bittersweet. I'm so happy I'm with Melissa, but miss home too. But I've never regretted moving. Just seeing Melissa everyday is amazing.
